Two types of tourist visas are available. EVisitor visa allows you a stay for up to 3 months and you can acquire it for free.
The second type is called Tourist Visa Visitor. Acquiring it could cost you from 140 to 1020 Australian dollars. With this travel document, you could stay in Australia for up to 12 months.
Working holiday
This type of visa is used for working and traveling in Australia for a period of one year. It can be granted to those who are between 18 and 30 years old.
Many people apply for it so you must meet many requirements and be one of the first ones to apply to get it.
You must also prove the level of your English is sufficient. If you don’t come from the UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, or Ireland, then you must pass one of the internationally renowned English tests.
Skilled migration
If you are skilled in a particular profession, then you might be eligible to apply for the General Skilled Migration Program. Your skills must be in demand in Australia and you must pass general IELTS with a better score than 6.
You must also comply with the general professional requirements that the assigned authority requested for your validation.
Business
This type of Australian visa is meant for investors, senior executives, and those owning a successful business. Its purpose is to encourage these people to develop new opportunities in the Australian economy.
There are subclasses in this visa type for different occasions. You will have different requirements and options depending on you being a business owner, investor or having other business relations.
Family and spouse
This Australian visa type is suitable for family members and spouses of Australian citizens or permanent residents. Formally established relationships are also eligible.
If you get this visa as a spouse or a legal partner, your partner must sponsor you for at least 2 years. After this period has passed you can apply for permanent residence.
You will need to provide proof of your relation to an Australian citizen or permanent resident to acquire it.
Resident return
This type of travel document is required for everybody that is non-citizen but are permanent residents in Australia wishing to temporary leave Australia.
Chances are that you will be granted this visa when your initial 5-year residence visa has expired.
Employer-sponsored
The Skilled Temporary Business visa is the most commonly used travel document to ensure overseas workers with an opportunity to come and work for an Australian company.
Special arrangements are available in the regional areas of Australia. By getting this Australian visa you will get temporary residence status in Australia without any restrictions.
Student
This type of travel document is most suitable for those coming to Australia to study. It also allows working part-time for no more than 20 hours per week during the study period.
You must enroll in a government recognized study course to be eligible. It has to be at least 3 months long and you will be granted this visa for the study time plus vacation time.
The visa has no age limit. Additionally, you don’t have to prove the level of your English and your partner can join you as well.
Sponsored business visitor
This type of Australian visa allows local, state, government and federal agencies to offer formal short stay sponsorship to business visitors.
Those traveling to Australia with this travel document have a maximum stay of three months. This stay is meant for business purposes only.
This covers attending conferences and training but doesn’t cover employment.
