Business immigration to Denmark

The Ministry of Industry, Business, and Financial Affairs and the Ministry of Immigration and Integration together launched Startup Denmark, an official Danish initiative. Non-EU, non-EEA, and non-Swiss people are the interest group for this program. A business proposal that you submit is evaluated by impartial professionals. You can apply for an independently employed person’s residence and work visa if the board acknowledges your business plan. This visa might be renewed up to three times for a limit of two extra years of legitimacy.

The candidates must each submit a separate application to the immigration authorities for a residence and work visa if the company plan is accepted by the Startup Denmark expert panel. If they are a member of the startup team, non-EU/EEA nationals may submit a business plan alongside EU/EEA citizens. However, owing to EU regulations governing the free movement of people and services, EU/EEA individuals do not need residency or employment permits in Denmark.
