Rules of entry to Egypt for tourists
One of the first requirements is a negative test for COVID-19.
- The result of the test must be obtained no later than 72 hours before entering the country. One of the new requirements is that the certificate must be in English;
- The expiration date is counted from the moment the analysis was taken from you to the moment the plane leaves for Egypt. Please note that if you are flying with a transfer, then this time must also be taken into account. For example, if you have a connection in some city, then you need to calculate from the moment of departure from this point to Egypt;
- Children under 6 years old do not need to take a coronavirus test;
- It is also significant that the certificate is issued with the original seal of the laboratory. Photocopies of data on the smartphone screen will not be accepted;
- The certificate must indicate the exact time of your testing. And the research method itself – PCR;
- It is crucial to make several photocopies of the certificates to hand them over at the airport.
Tourists note that the requirements are not very strict. In some cases, electronic versions of the coronavirus test are possible. However, we recommend that you follow all rules regarding help.
The consular fee is not charged for children under 12 years old entered in the parents’ passport. A photograph of the child must be glued into the passport, regardless of his age and it must be stamped by the passport and visa service. The absence of a photograph or print is the basis for refusing a child to cross the border.
